After a mixed day of results no pair starts the festival off on maximum points but it is a close start to the festival, Twin Oaks tomorrow so let's see how much this bulks up the weights and what the day two scores will be.

Day Two

It was another random draw to decide the lakes the anglers would fish – we have done it this way to shake things up and so that the same 14 anglers are not fishing against each other for the four days.

Twin Oaks High Numbers
Good weights from across the lake today with the results fair across the sections. Taking the lake win with 87lb 5oz was Darren Jackson on peg 17, Darren caught on the method. Austin Williams on peg 16 was second, Austin caught on the waggler and weighed in with 70lb 9oz. On peg 7 Ben Lord was third with 70lb 5oz, Ben caught on the method feeder with micros. Adam Wakelin had the next best weight with 69lb 11oz; Adam was on peg 13 and caught on the method.

Section Winners
Ben Lord peg 7 70lb 5oz
Darren Jackson peg 17 87lb 5oz

Twin Oaks Low Numbers
There were a few stand out weights on the high numbers but the majority of the pack weighed in the 20 – 30lb bracket making the points tight across the sections. The lake winner today was James Hawkins; James was on peg 32 and caught on the method for a weight of 70lb. Second with 57lb 9oz was Clive Cole, Clive was on peg 30 and caught on the feeder. Stewart Lister on peg 25 was third, Stewart had a few on the method, a few shallow on the pole and some F1's at 6 meters on the pole for a total weight of 47lb 10oz. The next best weight on the lake was 39lb 5oz and this came from Stuart Taylor on peg 29, Stuart caught on the waggler with 8 mil pellet

Section Winners
Stewart Lister peg 25 47lb 10oz
James Hawkins peg 32 70lb

Here is how today's action has affected the leader board.

Overall Top Five Pairs

  Name Points Weight
1st James Hawkins & Adam Wakelin 23 points 198lb 15oz

4th Harry Billing & Stewart Lister 20 points 164lb 12oz
5th Clive Cole & Tom Cole 20 points 141lb 4oz

The top three have had a shift around today but the points are tied, this is turning out to be a close festival and with two days left it is open for a number of pairs to snatch the victory.

Day Three

The anglers are back over to Trewaters today fishing the opposite lake to what they fished on day one. The two lakes fished better today with better weights coming from across the sections.

As we go into the final day Andy & Stuart have a one point lead but as we know anything could happen on the final day and the points and weights are very close for the top three, will Adam & James be able to claw back a point and take the victory for the second year or can Martin & Darren sneak back up there?

Stay tuned for the final results coming tomorrow.

Day Four

So we have reached the final day of the festival and throughout the week the names have been up and down on the leader board so I wonder what surprises today’s match results produce. It is back over to Twin Oaks for the anglers today so they will all be hoping for a good draw for those all important sections points but also to draw a flyer to boost their overall weights in case there is a tie with points.

Adam & James take the victory for the second year running, it has been a really close week with many of the pairs having their ups & downs but Adam & James emerged the winners after a great performance throughout the week.

Thanks to all the anglers that took part in the festival it was a real mixed but friendly bunch of anglers here and I'm sure they'll all agree with us and confirm it's been a great week - I'm sure the sunshine and the amount of beer consumed also helped!

A massive thanks you also to Preston Innovations for once again sponsoring the event and providing prizes for the top five pairs.

Once again thank you to all the anglers that fished this week I hope you enjoyed your week and see you for the festival next year - which has already generated a lot of interest and we shall definitely see an increase in entrants for 2011.

Cheers, Kirsty
