Coors Veterans Festival 2010
  Fishing Information call 01726 862519

Welcome to our annual Veterans festival open to anglers aged 55 and over. This 4 day festival has grown in popularity over the years and we have 54 veterans fishing this year.

The festival is spread across four days with two days being 'anything goes' and two days silver fish (including F1's). The lakes being used this year are Pollawyn & Trelawney for the everything counts and Jennys & Python for the silver fish only.

Day One

For a change in the festival this year we have decided to make it a completely random draw on the first day of the festival so instead of the anglers knowing where they will be fishing when they arrive all the pegs go into the bag on the first day so not only are they drawing for their peg for that day but their draw will also determine their rotation of lakes.

Malcolm Proctor is the White Acres Coors Veterans champion 2010 with 27 points out of a possible 28. The weights across the top ten were very close but with no one in the top three tied on points it was a clear win for Mal.

Although the weather hasn't been the kindest to the anglers this year at least they haven't suffered as much as on the previous veterans festivals. Thank you to Coors brewery for once again supporting the festival. Thanks and congratulations to all the anglers that fished and well done to this years top three Mal, Harry & Malcolm.
